Fees, Rebates & Cancellation Policy

Fees:

The fee for a standard 50 minute consultation is $260 and is payable at the time of consultation (via EFTPOS, bank transfer or cash). This fee remains well below the Australian Psychological Society's recommended fee of $318. Additional fees apply for report writing, school meetings/observations and extended phone calls. There is no fee charged for routine correspondence with referrers.

The fee for professional supervision is $220 plus GST for a 60 minute session.

Rebates:
Medicare rebates are available with a valid GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or a referral from a psychiatrist or paediatrician. Individuals are entitled to up to 10 Medicare rebated sessions with a psychologist per calendar year under the Better Access to Mental Health Care initiative. A rebate of $145.25 applies to seeing a clinical psychologist. You will only require a mental health care plan if you intend to claim Medicare rebates. Private health fund benefits may also apply (check with your health insurer for eligibility).

Cancellation Fee:
When an appointment is made, I commit to this time and prepare for the session. Cancellations made with short notice disrupt the therapy process and do not allow sufficient time for the allocated appointment time to be filled. A cancellation fee of the full fee is charged for appointments that are cancelled, forgotten or rescheduled less than 24 business hours prior to the appointment. Medicare and private health insurance rebates do not apply to cancellation fees.
